However, in basic terms, Skookum's hives are made of either 23/32" pine plywood (for rigidity, durability, and structural stability) or 3/4" solid pine lumber. The other, non-lumber items like the Small Hive Beetle Traps and the Feeder Assembly Bottles are made from the same canning jars that you can find locally (in case you break one). The glass for the viewing windows come, as much as possible, from recycled picture frames and vintage windows.
